A Bit About Me
Hello, I’m David Vernon.
I’ve experienced a lifetime in martial arts both as a student, an instructor, a club owner and now a Grand Master 7th Dan.
I know first hand the benefits of practicing martial arts, both for myself and for the hundreds of success stories I have had a hand in, getting kids to black belt.
My life’s mission now, via ma4good (Martial Arts for Good) is to connect thousands of kids with martial arts clubs and for them to experience the same benefits I have.
A strong, well disciplined, resilient, respectful and goal-oriented child/teen makes for a better community as well creating their own personal success.

Martial Arts Journey
Team Taekwondo
Est 2005 to Current
Team Taekwondo was created by Grand Master David Vernon in 2005.
It’s a progressive martial arts system designed to train kids 7+, teens and adults through to black belt and beyond.
Yong Muki – Traditional Weapons
Est 2009 to Current
Grand Master David Vernon is the founder and creator of Yong Muki, a weapons program that includes Bo Staff, Nun Chucks and Kali Sticks.
Little Martial Arts
2017 to Current
The Little Martial Arts program was specifically created by Grand Master David Vernon in 2017 to accommodate the very young (2-6yo) who don’t normally fit into the training regime of older kids.
Aspley Martial Arts
Current
Aspley Martial Arts is a purpose-built, full-time centre where most of the programs are run from. 300m2, 15 trainers, 300 students.
MA4Good
Grand Master David Vernon is the founder and one of the four directors of this Not for Profit organization.
Our goal is to connect thousands of children with martial arts clubs for the good of all – the kids, their families, club owners and the community.
